Just returned from spending two fabulous weeks at the Royal Asarlik Beach Gumbet.And we realy can not fault this hotel.Wonderfully clean rooms.The staff is realy friendly and respectful.Not like some of the other hotels we stayed in.This was our first time in gumbet and we ve just booked to go back in september.Location is central for the restaurants,bars and fantastic shops.We found a fantastic restaurant called China Town. Best service ever.They even piced us and took us back to the hotel.The bar called Corner Bar is great for a fun night.The staff will take care of you.And lots of hand bag and shoe shops around.Bargain!!! Here some advice if it is your first time in Gumbet. If the tour reps or excursion centers take you for a tour on a bus, don't buy anything from the big leather,carpet or gold centers they take you to.It is a big con going on out there. Reps and various people will tell you not to buy anything from the shops they don't point, if you get conned or ripped off, they won't take responsibility. But it is not that simple.I found the truth after i had a bad experience in a gold center.We bought a diamond ring after the salesmen pushed us very hard and felt very awkward. And one day later we realised we were ripped off big time.Took the ring back to get our money back.They threatened us phoning the police raising their voices turning so nasty.We took an inspector from the customer rights association office by the help of the hotel menager.At the end we got our money back.Whatever you buy from wherever they take you, tour reps and excursion centers will take commission.And the commission will be added on the price several times.Then we met these local jewellers called ocean jewellery.Fantastic guys.Cagatay and Annette! (we are definitely going back there) They have their own work shop that they design and make their own things.They also have an office in the U.K.Whatever! We got the same ring there paying half price of that gold center.Be wide awake.Turkish people are not as dishonest as the reps imply on the bus! We strongy recommend visiting gumbet Royal Asarlik Beach.
